For startups with investors
Your monthly report to investors. In one hour, not two evenings.
planist sets your tax adviser’s bookings against the approved budget, projects the year end and turns it into the report for your board and investors. With the origin of every figure on record.

Report released
You know this.
- 01
Your tax adviser sends the bookings in the middle of the following month. Until then nobody knows exactly where you stand.
- 02
Then comes the spreadsheet: pull in the actuals, set them against the budget, project the year, paste in MRR.
- 03
Someone does it on the side, two evenings a month.
- 04
At the next round someone in the data room asks why the figure differs from the one reported in March.
A month with planist.
Five steps, from the booking batch to the released report.
- 01
Import the bookings
planist checks your tax adviser’s booking batch first and takes it over only afterwards, with a check report.
- 02
Review the findings
31 checks show what is missing or stands out, such as a gap in the monthly series or an outlier.
- 03
Report your metrics
You enter MRR, customers, headcount and the bank balance at the cut-off date yourself. planist shows on each of these figures that it comes from you, not from the books.
- 04
Read the year end against budget
Actuals count up to the cut-off month, the approved budget after it, and you see where you will land at year end.
- 05
Comment and release
The largest variances get a comment, then you release the report and it is frozen.
What planist takes off your hands.
Actuals from your tax adviser, budget and forecast, liquidity and the proof behind every figure, all in one place.
Actuals
Your tax adviser’s bookings, just as they arrive.
DATEV booking batch, GDPdU package or CSV: planist checks every file first and its check report shows what was recognised and what is missing. Nothing is taken over until you confirm.

Nothing taken over yet.
Unknown accounts are listed with their amount, nothing drops out without a trace.
No interface needed
planist reads the export your tax adviser produces anyway. Encoding, decimal comma and leading zeros are built in.
Replace, never double
If a month comes back corrected, the new import replaces the old values. Every run is logged and can be rolled back.
Only what is needed
From debtors and creditors planist reads account number and type. Names, addresses and IBANs are neither read nor stored.
Budget and forecast
The approved budget, and where you will land at year end.
The budget your board approved sits in the plan year as the released version. The rolling forecast takes actuals up to the cut-off month and carries the budget forward after it. It projects, it does not guess.

Budget from Excel
Loaded through the budget template or entered account by account in twelve monthly fields, entirely by keyboard.
Distribute, don’t type
Spread an annual value across the months linearly, seasonally or by prior year, also for a whole group of accounts.
Headcount planning
Every position with FTE, salary and employer share. The planning driver writes traceably into the budget and liquidity.
Investments and loans
Purchases with straight-line depreciation, loans with repayment, likewise as planning drivers.
Scenarios
Cautious, expected and good on the same version, comparable side by side.
One released version
Exactly one version counts as approved and feeds the analysis. Single future values in the forecast can be overridden.
Liquidity
Liquidity in view before the board asks.
The liquidity monitor shows the trend of your liquid funds from actuals and plan, with a warning buffer and planned payments per version and scenario. You simulate measures without changing the data.
Liquidity monitor
Version 2 · expected scenario
Liquid funds end of December140,000below warning buffer
The hire planned for October moves to January. It is simulated, the data stays unchanged.
Warning buffer
A balance you do not want to fall below, drawn as a line in the trend. You see in which month it gets tight.
What-if
A hire later, a payment earlier: simulate measures without touching budget or actuals.
Cash flow
The cash flow statement by the indirect method, from the same figures.
Proof
Figures that hold up in the next due diligence.
Every figure leads back to the single booking. 31 checks run before the report, not in the meeting, and every write action is in the change log.

The next funding round.
What you reported to your board in March still reads exactly the same in October. Every later correction is visible, with name and date.
Every released monthly report stays as it was. If a later booking batch changes a figure, planist shows the variance to the reported state, and every figure leads back to the single booking. You answer the question from the data room out of planist, not out of a spreadsheet version that no longer exists.

Frequently asked questions
- Do we need a finance person?
- No. Whoever keeps the spreadsheet today will manage with planist. The template brings the structure, the metrics and the report.
- Where do the figures come from?
- From your tax adviser’s export: DATEV booking batch, GDPdU package or CSV. You do not need an interface.
- Does planist connect to the bank or Stripe?
- No, deliberately not. The report holds the figures from the books. You enter MRR and the bank balance yourself or upload them as a file, and planist shows on each of these figures that it comes from you.
- What happens after the three months?
- You decide. Without a decision access ends, and you get your data as an export.
- What if we grow?
- Then you move to Plus with three months’ notice, for the first year at the Basis price. Your figures and reports stay.
- Where is the data stored?
- On servers in Germany, with a data processing agreement.
